    Since 2020, the Camargo Foundation and the EHESS offer a residency program to an artist and a scholar or PhD student in the social sciences. This talk with three laureates in residence at the Camargo Foundation in May is an opportunity for them to present their interdisciplinary work and this unique residency program to the public:

  • Guided tours | See you in the gardens +

    This visit is part of the program organized by the Camargo Foundation for the national "See you in the gardens" event. See you in the gardens is an event organized by the French Ministry of Culture to highlight the richness and variety of parks and gardens, both historic and contemporary, and the preservation of cultivated nature throughout France. On this occasion, the Camargo Foundation will be inviting the public to discover its Mediterranean garden through a guided tour based on the national 2024 theme: the 5 senses. Free of charge. Mandatory reservation: for the tour in English at 11 am / in French at 2:30 pm.

  • Restitution of Dorothée Munyaneza’s project, in conversation with residents of the Castellane neighborhood in Marseille +

    Saturday, June 1, 2024, 4pm to 7pm | Free of charge, mandatory reservation

    For several years, Dorothée Munyaneza, in collaboration with Maya Mihindou, has engaged in a conversation with women from the Castellane district of Marseille. From intimate stories to interwoven voices, she builds sensitive links, brings out words, and puts back at the heart of the city stories that are too seldom listened to. 

    A restitution of this work is organized at the Camargo Foundation. The public will attend a presentation of the project in the presence of its participants, followed by a strolling performance by Dorothée Munyaneza, and an exhibition of editions by Maya Mihindou. The day will end with a convivial moment in the company of all those involved in the project. Free of charge. Mandatory reservation here.

    Dorothée Munyaneza's residency at the Camargo Foundation is supported by the SUD region, the city of Marseille, the Bouches-du-Rhône prefecture and the Drac PACA.

  • Concert by Gildaa, Marseille Jazz 5 Continents +

    Sunday June 2, 2024, 8pm | Mandatory reservation

    As part of the Marseille Jazz 5 Continents festival program, a concert by Camille Constantin Aka Gildaa will be held at the Fondation Camargo on June 2 at 9pm. Tickets can be booked on the Marseille Jazz 5 Continents website.

    At the conservatory of dramatic art, Camille Constantin taught herself singing and percussion in addition to her lessons. It was here that she met her alter ego - Gildaa, a fusion of her artistic practices and her dual Franco-Brazilian culture. From there, she went on to write and compose. Gildaa is a rite of passage.

    "In front of Gildaa, you get the feeling of being in front of a jazz diva, a mythological presence with a pure, boundless voice. A Brazilian child witch, an African goddess, a Parisian princess of contemporary music whose madcap wit and multiple heritages savagely and brilliantly clash with our formatted expectations.     For the European Heritage Days, the Camargo Foundation welcomes the public to its historic setting overlooking the Bay of Cassis and facing the imposing Cap Canaille, to discover the history of Jerome Hill and Camargo's living heritage. Free of charge.

  • Fall Open House Day +

    Wednesday, October 23, 2024

    During the Open House Day, artists and scholars in residence at Camargo this fall will develop creative proposals to share their work with the public. Guided tours of the property and gardens with members of our team will also enable visitors to immerse themselves in the world of founder Jerome Hill and to understand the vision of Camargo today. Free of charge.
