Nadine Gomez

Visual Arts Curator (France)

Nadine Gomez was originally trained as a geologist. In the 1990s, she took over as curator of the Musée Gassendi (Digne, France). The museum encompasses the sciences, painting, contemporary art and local history, compiled as a contemporary cabinet of curiosities. She is also curator at CAIRN (Informal Art Center On Nature Research), an art center focusing on developing an artistic point of view on Haute Provence territory through the site-specific works of various artists including Mark Dion, Delphine Gigoux-Martin, herman de vries, Andy Goldsworthy, and Richard Nonas. With a multidisciplinary approach connecting art, nature and specific features of the area, CAIRN is a creative laboratory, which produces and disseminates contemporary art in the rural area.
